We know that venturing out to a new church for the first time can be a challenge. With this "visitor's kit" we have tried to identify and answer most of the questions first time visitors might have. We are eager to welcome you and make your first visit with us a rewarding and comfortable one.

Followed by a time to share coffee, treats and fellowship with each other.

Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of every month.

Where is St. Paul's UCC?
Our church is located at 324 West McKinley Avenue, in Hinckley Illinois. One block north of 30. For worship, please come in through our main entrance located on McKinley Street. For church business, please enter from the west entrance found on North View Street. The offices for the pastor and the secretary will be found at the end of the hall at the top of the stairs.

Where should I park?

St. Paul’s UCC parking lot is on North View Street west of the church. Parking is also available on McKinley Avenue and North View Street.
What time should I plan to arrive?
Try to arrive about 10 minutes before the service starts in order to have time to find a seat and get settled.
What should I wear to church?
There is a wide range of dress at St. Paul’s UCC, you are, of course, free to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable in church.
Is there a Coffee Hour or fellowship time?
We offer a Coffee Fellowship every Sunday after the 9:30 a.m. service.  This takes place in the fellowship hall found in the basement below the sanctuary.  Please don't be shy. Join us! We are eager to meet you.
Are you handicap accessible?
St. Paul’s UCC is accessible to the physically challenged. Enter through the glass door on the front of the building on McKinley.  Once inside, an elevator can be used to ascend to the sanctuary or descend to the basement. 
What about a nursery for my children?
St. Paul’s UCC believes that children are our greatest gift, and we strive to create an environment where they can experience the love of God through community, learning, play and worship. We are dedicated to providing a safe, accepting environment where children feel loved and valued. 
How do I get around the building?
  • Our Sanctuary is on the second floor. It can be reached through the McKinley Street Entrance and heading up the stairs.
  • Our Fellowship Hall is located in the basement and can be reached through the McKinley Street entrance and heading down the stairs.
  • The Hinckley Area Food Pantry is located in the basement and can be reached by heading down the stairs of the N View Streett entrance.
  • Building Blocks Preschool is  located in the basement and can be reached by entering the N View Street entrance.
  • The Bathrooms are located at the top of the stairs of the N View Street Entrance or at the back of the fellowship hall.
